Dordt College Choir
CONCERT TOUR OF THE NETHERLANDS
May 24 – June 2, 2019

Since the early days of Dordt University (previously Dordt College), the Concert Choir has been recognized as a musical ambassador of the institution. This auditioned choir has
continued its tradition of sharing the good news of Jesus Christ through excellence in choral singing, performing significant and varied literature from the choral repertoire to the
glory of God. The Concert Choir tours annually throughout the United States and Canada and periodically in Europe. They were also invited to perform for regional conventions of the American Choral Directors Association in 2004, 2006, and 2010. This ensemble is comprised of current students and alumni from the Concert Choir.

Director Ryan Smit is a native of Churchill, Montana, and has recently completed his second year as director of choral activities at Dordt University, his alma mater. He served Third Christian Reformed Church in Lynden as senior choir director, and he was the artistic director for the Bellingham Chamber Chorale for seven seasons. He is a former member of Male Ensemble Northwest, a teaching and performing ensemble of male choral professors and teachers from the northwest region.
